75 years ago: “Reports from Pagosa Springs indicate a larger attendance at its two-day 4th of July celebration than could have been hoped for. Well over 1,500 attended the morning events, and a crowd three times that large was expected for the afternoon show.”
50 years ago: “A Isolette was acquired by Community hospital. This is the culmination of three years of saving 431,000 points of Gold Bond stamps by the auxiliary and friends of Community Hospital. It is the most modern model and even has a rocker arm, that can rock the ‘cradle,’ but is actually used to help with the circulation of the sick infant.”
25 years ago: PAGOSA SPRINGS – “The Colorado Civil Air Patrol deployed 15 aircraft and 55 ground personnel in the search for a light plane missing on a flight to Omaha, Neb. The plane was last known to be in Pagosa Springs because of a credit-card purchase the pilot made there.”
