50 years ago: “The city council, in its 3 to 2 decision to curtail residents and businessmen from dumping snow onto city streets for the city to cart away, did so after noting that if it removed the snow from the downtown area it would, in all fairness, have to do likewise for the north section of the city. This would add an extra workload to the street department’s task of removing snow.”
25 years ago: TELLURIDE – “The air pollution in this southwestern Colorado community has been called the worst in the state by the Colorado Department of Health. To clear its air and its name, the town passed what air pollution experts call ‘the strictest wood burning controls in the nation.’”
