50 years ago: SILVERTON – “A foot of new snow at Silverton last night delighted the organizers of the new Kendall Mountain ski-tow. Bill Tut of the Grand Imperial said the snow on the four runs is being packed today in expectation of a big weekend.”
25 years ago: “Patrons at Virginia’s in Vallecito looked almost like visitors from another planet in their 3D glasses that allowed them to view the special effects of a Super Bowl halftime show broadcast in 3D. The game left Cincinnati fans wishing for more special effects as the Bengals dropped the Championship to San Francisco, 20-16.”
