50 years ago: The Navajo Trails Fiesta was “moving into high gear” – with parade entries steadily coming in, three or four bands signed up to march and trophies to be presented.
25 years ago: A resident called the La Plata County Sheriff’s Office to report a fire that started on the railroad tracks near Shalona Lake. Deputies responded and discovered the blaze was a controlled burn.
