25 years ago: The Durango 9-R Board of Education is considering what to call Durango High School’s new sports stadium, and it wants to hear public opinion at its meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The school district’s Facilities Naming Committee recommended the new stadium and track be called the Durango High Sports Complex, a rather prosaic appellation but certainly on target.
