100 years ago: The Classifieds section advertised the Windsor rooming house for: “good clean beds, large single rooms, and free baths. 30 cents per night.”

75 years ago: Wayt’s Toggery advertised coats for sale, which could be seen in Mademoiselle and “worn by lovely Hollywood stars, smooth, different, and eye catching.” They were available for $19.95.

50 years ago: A “lone bandit with a knife” robbed the San Juan Liquor Store in Durango and got away with $84 and several travelers’ checks. The store owner said the man looked about 40 years old, had a knife, stole the funds from the cash register drawer, tied him up and cut the telephone cord before fleeing the from the location.

25 years ago: La Plata County Sheriff’s Office received a report that someone wrote obscenities on a lawn with weedkiller in the 100 block of Albrecht Lane.
