100 years ago: Bill Woodard visited Durango from Fairview Farm at Allison to receive medical treatment for his eyes, which had been “injured by a hard fall” the previous December.
75 years ago: The Colorado Stock Growers and Feeders Association sent a copy of “an adopted resolution” to each Colorado member of congress that demanded the 40-hour work week be abolished to free up employment opportunities for seasonal labor.
50 years ago: Three teenagers were chased down by police and caught with stolen hubcaps from the Morehart Chevrolet used-car lot at Sixth Street and East Fourth Avenue.
25 years ago: Someone tried to pry open the cash drawer in the video department at north City Market and fled the scene when they were unable to reach the money inside.
