25 years ago: Rush Limbaugh was “talking about Durango again.” The radio personality deemed Durango as “a new haven for leftists” during a local broadcast on KIUP, 990 AM. He said that people were leaving places like Southern California and moving to Durango, then cited part of a poll published by the Durango Weekly that showed local opinions about the popularity of his show. Only one result from the poll was mentioned.
