75 YEARS AGO: “Opening their water taps late Saturday night, Durango water users found themselves faced with the choice of using muddy city water or none. Last week’s cloudbursts at the head of the Florida also turned the city’s water supply to mud.”

50 YEARS AGO: “Sirloin steak, properly trimmed, juicy and tender. 95 cents per pound at City Market.”

25 YEARS AGO: “Subject walked out without paying for a meal at the Village Inn. He was found and said he started writing a check for the meal but forgot to leave it. Subject also forgot to eat his meal, so he returned, ate and paid.”
