75 years ago: “Saturday night saw the close of the big four-day San Juan Basin Exposition Seed & Poultry Show in Durango – a show that this year proved to be a greater success than ever before.”

50 years ago: “The post office flag remained at half mast today although the Associated Press reports that the nation’s flags went back to full mast at the end of the 30 day mourning period for former President Hoover.”

25 years ago: “A Fort Lewis College foreign language professor is pursuing a discrimination lawsuit he filed against the college last year despite a defeat in September in a federal court in Denver. The action claims that Hispanic faculty members are not being paid the salaries they deserved because they are minorities.
