100 years ago: Twenty-seven cars of cattle, on the way to the eastern markets from Dolores, passed through Durango.
75 years ago: The N.O.W. Thimble Club held a meeting at the home of Mrs. Guy Brazil, 604 East Fifth Ave.
50 years ago: Children playing with matches started a fire at the residence of Bert Monger. Firefighters arrived at the property after a young boy, who had trouble giving directions over the phone, called in a report. Luckily, the fire was put out before it had a chance to burn a storage building about 20 feet away.
25 YEARS AGO: Someone drove their car through freshly poured concrete at McDonald’s, 201 W. Sixth St.
