75 years ago: “The little Misses Ileen and Themla Born entertained 40 friends at a jolly skating party, held at the Belmont Hall. The guests frolicked from 4 to 7 o’clock, at which time they were seated at three long, gayly decorated tables, where delicious refreshments made complete the day’s fun.”
50 years ago: “A bridal shower was held at the home of Mrs. Nick DiLuzio in honor of Lou Hotter who will marry Mike DiLuzio Feb. 13. The bride’s colors of pink and white were carried out in the decorations and at the refreshment table.”
25 years ago: “Skiers, sledders, strollers and all-terrian vehicles hit the streets to take advantage of a storm that dumped close to 2 feet on some parts of the county. The snow was good news for skiers, providing enough base for Chapman Hill and Hesperus ski areas to open for the first time this winter.”
