75 years ago: According to District Judge Henry S. Lindsley of Denver, “persons convicted of being an accessory to the driving of a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor must undergo the same punishment as the driver of the car.”
50 years ago: Student at Durango High School, Paul Gemmill, received second place at the 18th International Science Fair in San Francisco, Calif.
25 years ago: Police were seeking information about an accident, which involved a School District 9-R school bus that ran over the foot of an 18-year-old mentally-disabled man. Due to the man’s disability, police were unable to determine what actually happened.
