50 years ago: “There’s a special attraction at the Indian dances at the Jaycee campground on College Heights. It’s Little Beaver, famed sidekick of Red Ryder. Little Beaver appeared at the Red Ryder Roundup Rodeo in Pagosa Springs and arrived in Durango for the evening dances held by Chief Grey Squirrel and his family.”
