100 years ago: John Real left for his La Plata sheep camp after “a few days’ visit with the home folk.”

75 years ago: Definite arrangements for the airport guard were still to be announced. J.F. Gregg, local aviator, said the general inspector for the civil aeronautics authority would arrive soon to investigate.

50 years ago: Anthony McElroy of Durango ran his 1966 Ford off north Junction Creek Road “at a high rate of speed” while driving intoxicated. The car went through a fence and careened onto property owned by Frank Picoli, causing $300 in damages.

25 years ago: Someone reported theft of horse tack from a shed on the 600 block of County Road 510. An hour later, polocrosse equipment and more horse tack was reported stolen from a trailer at 5226 County Road 203.
