75 years Ago: H. E. (Pop) Gollagher of Mancos has leased the Gem Theatre from Mrs. J. O. Taylor for 10 years. He will completely remodel the 500-seat house to operate a motion picture show and vaudeville show entertainment.
50 years ago: The Bent Elbow in Silverton was sold to Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Andreatta of Silverton by Frank and Charlotte Bostock of Durango.
25 years ago: Cortez The Hopi Indians will hold three ceremonies at Mesa Verde National Park to remember their ancestors who lived in cliff houses.
