50 Years Ago: Jesse L. Petit, Dennis Dow and Michael R. Duckett swerved off the road into a ditch and drove another 250 feet until running into an embankment. Petit suffered cuts on his head and Dow faced possible back injuries. They were taken to the hospital, while Duckett emerged from the accident unscathed.
25 Years Ago: Police responded to 76 calls, including two incidents of theft involving alcohol and two sightings of drunken drivers. Both drivers were taken to Detox, while a total of $350 was stolen.
