25 years ago: “You’ve probably seen hundreds of horse races and perhaps even a dog race here and there ... but burro racing? That sounds like a contradiction in terms. But burro racing it is, and the pro and amateur racing were the main event at the Vallecito Western Jamboree. Nine racers competed in the pro division.”
