25 years ago: “Some institutions might shy away from fame associated with a disease, but Fort Lewis College is a national celebrity in public health circles because of its excellent documentation of a 1988 measles outbreak on campus. In fact, based partly on what they learned from the FLC measles outbreak, researchers for the National Centers for Disease Control, have in the last two years changed their recommendations for when measles vaccinations should be given.”
