And the West is History

50 years ago: Representatives of 20 western Colorado counties appeared before the State Highway Commission today to request a new routing for U.S. Highway 550 at Red Mountain Pass. Representative of Club 20 also requested a feasibility study for a tunnel under Wolf Creek Pass on U.S. Highway 160. The group made requests of the highway commission for work on eight primary roads and 18 secondary roads.
