May health, happiness and prosperity be the lot of every Democrat reader.”
75 years ago: Mrs. Idris Guire of Silverton stayed in Durango with her mother-in-law, Mrs. C.J. Guire, to receive treatment for her infected hand. Her hand was reported to be responding well to treatment.
50 years ago: Skies finally cleared and sunshine bounced off the waist-high snowdrifts, as Cortez residents emerged from one of the most severe winter storms they’d ever seen.
25 years ago: Durango Police Department received a report of a cat in the rafters at Smelter’s Coalroom, 801 Main Ave.
