75 years ago: “Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Corle after spending a couple of days in Durango left by auto for New York, where they will embark for a trip of several months duration in Europe. Mrs. Corle will be remembered by Durangoites as Helen Freeman, daughter of the late B.N. Freeman, one-time prominent banker. Helen has been a cinema star for a number of years and has just finished a picture soon to be released ‘Safety in Numbers.’”
