50 years ago: The following appeared in the section titled Panther’s Pulse, “The Chemistry I students finally succeeded in getting to do their first experiment (of getting use to things such as matches and test tubes). Mr. Totman stood by with the bandages.”
25 years ago: “La Plata County Judge Patricia Hall, stepping down from the bench after six years and some 20,000 cases, said ‘it’s a good time to take a break.’ Hall will vacate the $56,000-a-year job and applications are being taken.”
