50 Years Ago: The City Council regular meeting consisted of a hearing on the request of Louis Germain for a liquor license for his proposed new restaurant, planned to be located at 819 Main Ave.

25 years ago: Someone broke into Durango Health and Bible Store, 2607 Main Ave. and stole two bottles of hot sauce, causing $18 in damages.
