It will be the first time in years that the schools’ Christmas holidays will end before New Year’s. New Year’s Day will be a lone holiday in the school calendar.”
50 years ago: “A mixture of rain and snow deposited .76 inch of moisture on Durango as the temperature rose only three degrees from an early morning low of 32 degrees. ... There was welcome new snow at Purgatory, and the call has gone out for packers to report Saturday morning to pack the slopes.”
