50 years ago: According to a report from La Plata County Deputy Sheriff Jess Adams, someone entered Lam Motor Co., located south of Durango, stole a 1964 International Pickup, drove it about 15 miles and abandoned it near Sacred Heart school.

25 years ago: The Colorado Lottery announced Durango winners: Edward Abeyta, $200; Katherine Grebence, $777; Des Havasi, $548; Orion Koon, $777; Geoffrey Maslak, $500; Sonia Rogers, $177; and Mary Schwein, $200.
