And the West is History: Father and Son Banquet at DHS – 1919

Pictured is the Father and Son Banquet, hosted on Valentine’s Day in the Durango High School gymnasium. At the time, the facility was only 3 years old and still in pristine condition. The gymnasium exists today, possibly destined to be part of the new city hall. A balcony above the gym floor encircled the basketball court below, serving as an indoor track for students.
