Winter 1916 proved to be a fairly significant snow year in Durango. Here, men are on the roof of the Wetter Mercantile Co. shoveling snow to prevent a roof collapse. Wetter Mercantile was a longtime occupant of the northwest corner of Main Avenue and what is today College Drive.
