Hazel Hood and Elizabeth Clark photograph one another while standing in the middle of Main Avenue in Animas City, circa 1936. Their friend, Florence Erickson, is the presumed photographer of this image. The three young women took many photographs that are now in the Animas Museum Collection. They captured many 1930s scenes around Durango and La Plata County that contributed to the photographic documentation of our area. – Ed Horvat for Animas Museum, edhorvat@animasmuseum.org(Catalog Number: 15.59.12.35 from the La Plata County Historical Society Photo Collections)
