And the West is History: Women’s softball at Fairgrounds – ca. 1955

When Dolph Kuss took over as the county and city recreation director in 1955, he immediately introduced new programs for area residents. These included organized swimming lessons, marble and jacks competition for children, square dancing for adults, archery for adolescents, and softball for women. This is one of the women’s softball games held at the fairgrounds field around 1955.
