Investors and economic development officials will meet tonight at Durango Mountain Resort to hear pitches from two fledgling companies.
The meeting will feature John Chavez of New Mexico Angels, a private membership group of investors who fund start-up companies; Roger Zalneraitis, executive director of the La Plata Economic Development Alliance; Ray Hagerman, CEO of Four Corners Economic Development in Farmington, and Matt Taylor, CEO of Mercury Payment Systems.
The investors will hear pitches from two companies, Sit-Ins and EcoPesticides International Inc.
Durango-based Sit-Ins is developing a music education app. The company recently graduated from the Southwest Colorado Accelerator Program for Entrepreneurs, or SCAPE.
EcoPesticides International is an Albuquerque-based company whose product treats pests with naturally occurring fungi.
