Animas City Night Bazaar’s Passeggiatta will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday on north Main Avenue. The Passeggiattas will continue the last Wednesday of each month through Sept. 30.
Participants are invited to put on their finest (or silliest) attire and join the neighbors for a stroll around the streets of north Main. Roving musical performances will prevent crowds, and local business specials will be offered at participating north Main bars and restaurants.
Family-friendly scavenger hunt clues will be released on social media to accompany a map of the Passeggiata boundaries marked by painted rocks stacked in cairns around Animas City. Seekers will find gift cards and prizes crafted by local artisans, purchased by the ACNB to support the artisan economy.
The ACNB has also organized a beautification project with flowers and pop-up art at the Durango Smoke Shop, 2876 Main Ave.
