Animas High School Class of 2020 had a graduation ceremony unlike any other on May 29, thanks to the generous support of many community partners.
Our deepest appreciations go to national event producer John Oakes, who lives locally, and produces local events Four Corners Motorcycle; the Vaughn family for hosting at their beautiful ranch; Voice and Video for providing the audio and video broadcast support; Sam Brandon and the 99X team at American General Media for helping with the radio broadcast and hosting the Facebook livestream; Southwest AG in Bayfield for providing equipment and equipment transportation; Emily’s Etiquette and Events for coordination and support; Durango Harley-Davidson for use of their van and equipment; Mark Petrocchi with Align Tec for providing the internet service for the radio and live video broadcast; Jon Sigillito at Durango Party Rental for providing equipment; Brian Willyard at Music Masters for providing the audio equipment; Karen Skelly Photography for capturing each graduate’s big moment; IlluminArts for additional photography services; Hampton Inn Durango for providing lodging for working crew traveling in from out of town; Rich Webber for the American flag presentation; Jimmy Heritage, Garret Gody, Sydney Ruggles and Ellen for set up and site support; Ultra Steam for providing masks; Advertising Innovations for designing AHS Class of 2020 yard signs and AHS masks; Honeyville for providing hand sanitizer for the set up crew and everyone else who volunteered and supported in some way rallying together to support our school and our seniors.
