Animas High School seniors in Lori Fisher and Ashley Carruth’s humanities classes will present their Model Senate exhibition this week.
They will deliver testimony, engage in debate, create legislation, suggest amendments and, ultimately, vote on legislation about climate change, immigration and college debt.
The public is invited to attend sessions at AHS, 20091 U.S. Highway 160, from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday and 10:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 2:15 p.m. Thursday. The final session will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Fort Lewis College’s Noble Hall.
