Residents within the Animas Mosquito Control District are reminded that spring mosquito abatement activities have begun.
Because of COVID-19, the district is taking precautions. Staff members will call residents in the district (if they have the contact information), instead of knocking on doors, speaking face to face or leaving door cards.
Residents are urged to call the district at 247-1483 or visit www.animasmosquito.com and send a message to give the district permission to visit properties.
After each rainstorm, check for standing water and empty buckets, tarps, tires, toys, etc., that can retain water. If mosquitoes are seen, call the mosquito control district.
