Animas River Days will take place from 7:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Santa Rita Park.
Featured events will include river surfing, stand-up paddling, freestyle kayaking, boatercross, raft and kayak slalom, an inflatable rodeo and the costumed river parade.
The festival will also feature a live DJ, food and retail vendors, gear demos, kids’ activities, food served all day and a Ska Beer Garden. No dogs are allowed inside the beer garden.
Animas River Days is partnering with San Juan Citizens Alliance and other conservation groups to educate the community and surrounding areas about keeping rivers healthy and safe.
