Residents are invited to offer input about the Animas Valley District Plan at a public meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Animas Valley Grange, 7271 County Road 203. The meeting will begin with a brief overview and presentation and then shift to a working group format.
District plans provide growth management recommendations to the La Plata County Planning Commission specific to each of the county’s 12 planning districts, as framed by the goals, policies and objectives in the Comprehensive Plan.
Residents can let the Planning Commission and staff know what Animas Valley land-use and development issues are most important to them by filling out a brief questionnaire: www.surveymonkey.com/r/animasvalley_plan. Answers will help guide the conversation and the update process.
