Animas Valley Grange will host a free series of talks about avian restoration at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Animas Valley Grange Hall, 7271 County Road 203.
This topic will be presented by Don Bruning. After receiving his Ph.D., he became the Curator of Birds for the New York Zoological Society headquartered at the Bronx Zoo. He has traveled the world for the Society (which later became the Wildlife Conservation Society) and set up captive breeding programs for some of the world’s rarest birds. His talk will be about protecting birds and their habitats, with a focus on the birds in the Animas Valley.
The Grange is sponsoring a series of informative talks by various local experts, and the talks will occur once each month. Refreshments will be provided.
