The Animas Valley Grange will present “Drought in the Home Landscape” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the grange, 7271 County Road 203.
Darrin Parmenter, director of the La Plata County Extension Office, will discuss:
How to moderate the effects of drought by understanding the interactions between water and soil.How to conserve and preserve water and how to establish and maintain a home landscape that can handle dry years. How to select plants (trees, turf, perennials and vegetables) for “lean” years.The talk is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
