The program “After the 416 Fire: What to Expect in Your Backyard” will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Animas Valley Grange Hall, 7271 County Road 203.
Brian Devine, water and air-quality program manager at San Juan Basin Public Health, will share results of sediment testing from the Animas Consolidated Ditch and Hermosa Creek and expectations for water quality during spring runoff.
Butch Knowlton, director of the La Plata County Office of Emergency Management, will discuss flooding and debris flows and offer advice for homeowners.
The talk is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
