Gabi Razma has lived up to the hype as a two-sport star at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology as a freshman.
The Durango High School alumna won the Heartland Conference Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Terre Haute Double Dual on Friday in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Razma took first place in two events at the indoor meet.
She won the 60-meter dash in 8.47 seconds, the third-fastest time in school history, and finished first in the 200-meter dash in 28.36 seconds.
It was one of three athlete of the week awards Rose-Hulman took home in the first week of indoor competition.
Razma also plays defensive specialist for the Engineers’ volleyball team, where she was a three-time conference defensive player of the week and the HCAC Defensive Player of the Year.
No one ever has won three defensive players of the week in one season before in the HCAC.
Rose-Hulman is a Division III school known for engineering.
