Thank you for the Herald’s excellent coverage of the issue of GMO labeling, of which I am a champion. What is going on now is outrageous: The House already passed the DARK Act – Denying Americans the Right to Know –and the Senate Agriculture Committee – of which Michael Bennet, D-Colo., is a member – is considering different riders to the omnibus spending bill which must be passed soon. The DARK Act, making it illegal for states to label GMOs, is being considered as a rider to the spending bill. This is just a travesty and also so clearly shows what is wrong with this country: Money buys politicians of all ilk and corporations get whatever they want – including trampling states’ rights in this case. Please call Bennet and the other Agriculture Committee members and tell them we pay their salaries and we demand to know what is in our food like 64 other countries or more worldwide. Thank you.
