The Animas Valley Grange will be hosting a grafting workshop for apples trees from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Animas Valley Grange, 7271 County Road 203.
The workshop will be conducted by Jude and Addie Schuenemeyer of the Montezuma Orchard Restoration Project (MORP).
Tools, materials, scions (cuttings of new growth) and four rootstocks will be provided for each participant. Attendees may also bring scions from their own trees. Payment may be made by checks or cash at the workshop, but RSVP as soon as possible because a minimum of 10 people must register to hold the workshop, and there is a maximum capacity of 20 attendees.
