The city of Durango will accept applications for the Food Tax Rebate Program beginning Sunday.
Residents with a total household income no greater than 50% of the Area Median Family Income for La Plata County by family size, as published by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for 2019, may qualify for the food tax rebate.
Only residents of the city who were full-time residents within the city limits on Dec. 31 and for the full 12 months of 2019 are eligible to file a claim for themselves and all eligible members of their household.
Applications are available at City Hall, 949 East Second Ave.; the Transit Center, 250 W. Eighth St.; the Durango/La Plata Senior Center, 2424 Main Ave.; or online at www.DurangoGov.org/rebates.
Applications must be submitted by July 1.
