Coloradans are not descended from a fearful people. We are a “can-do” community. The Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan is not a threat but an opportunity.
Distributed generation means buy local, more jobs and more local economic-development opportunities. When it comes to energy generation, we should not fight progress and support doing nothing; we should embrace the opportunities. No nationwide plan can satisfy all, but if the Clean Power Plan helps us focus by giving us a target and a scorecard to measure progress, we Coloradans should step up and show the other states that we intend to be leaders, not meek, fearful followers.
