Tuesdays, 2 p.m.: Baby story time. Interactive activities with music, stories, finger-plays, counting rhymes and playtime for infants to 18-month-old children. Parents and caregivers are welcome.

Thursdays, 10:30 a.m.: Toddler story time. Stories, songs, rhymes and other activities for children ages 2-3. Story time lasts 30 minutes with crafts after.

Mondays, 9 a.m.: Yogalates. A perfect combination of yoga and Pilates principles.

Tuesdays, 9 a.m.: Yoga for All. With a focus on proper alignment and modifications, but all levels welcome.

Wednesdays, 8:30 a.m.: Morning Meditation for All. Drop-in, free, no experience necessary. Learn techniques to increase focus and reduce stress.

April 17, 4:30 p.m.: Basic ukulele lessons for kids: Come have fun with ukulele teacher Denise Leslie, who will give basic lessons to kids 7 and older. The library’s 10 ukuleles will be available during the lesson or participants can bring their own.

April 18, 6 p.m.: Take better pictures with your phone: Learn how to capture the best pictures with a smart phone from photographer Matt Howell. Howell will share tips and tactics about how to make photos look more professional. To register, call 884-2222, ext. 510.

April 20, 1 p.m.: Home-school Lego Time. Join home-schoolers who want to create, meet new friends and have fun together. All ages are welcome, just bring your stash of Legos or Duplos, your cool ideas and your parent.

April 21, 1 p.m.: Making organic compost at home: Gardener Tom Bartles will cover various composting methods in the garden to increase yields and make work easier. Grow worms that work no matter where you live.

April 23, 7 p.m.: Classic Movie Monday: “The Thomas Crown Affair” (1968).

April 24, 10 a.m.: Card Making at the Senior Center. Join us at the Bayfield Senior Center and create two beautiful handmade cards. Free.

Tuesdays, 4 p.m.: Inklings Book Club. Join Inklings for snacks and a wonderful reading adventure every Tuesday for all third- through fifth-graders.

Wednesdays, afternoon: ICL Open MakerSpace. The ICL MakerSpace is open from noon-4 p.m. Work on your dream project.

Wednesdays, 10 a.m.: Librarian’s Favorites story time. Every week, a new ICL staff member will share their favorite book. Join in the fun with stories, songs, puppets and more that encourage development of early literacy skills in young children.

Wednesdays, 2 p.m.: Teen Café. Open to teens in grades six-12. Play games, do homework, make crafts, relax with friends and have fun.

Thursdays, 4 p.m.: Kidz Klub starting March 15. Elementary school kids are invited to join ICL Kidz Klub for science experiments, games, art, snacks, exploring and more.

Saturdays, 10 a.m.: ICL MakerSpace. Work on your dream project.

Ongoing events (adult)

Tuesdays, 10 a.m.: Learning to Paint with Oils or Acrylics. Participants will use acrylic paints, oil paints or water-soluble oil paints to learn to color mix, learn values, composition and color theory, and learn how to use various tools to create a unique painting. Registration and fee required.

Tuesdays, 1 p.m.: ICL Knitters. Work on knitting or crocheting projects, socialize and share ideas. Everyone is welcome to drop in.

Thursdays, 10 a.m.: Older Adults Coffee Klatch. A gathering with coffee and snacks for older adults who would like to socialize, read the paper or play a game.

Fridays, 10 a.m.: Open Art Studio. A time for artists to gather to work on their own projects while getting to socialize. Participation is not dependent on having taken classes at the library. All artists are welcome. Pat Knight will be on hand most days to offer assistance as needed.

Fridays, 10 a.m.: Art contest call for submissions. Pen and ink drawings are being sought to be featured in a fundraiser this summer. The theme is “Smoky the Cowhorse by Will James: A Celebration of the West.” The art must original, no tracings or copies. Subject should be about the American West, horses, cows, cow dogs, cowboys, cowgirls or cowboy paraphernalia.

April 8, 2 p.m.: Writers’ Workshop. Local authors meet to share, review and critique each other’s work. Spring and summer issues of the Cedar Moon Journal are available for a suggested $5 donation.

April 9, 11 a.m.: Mystery Book Club. ICL’s Mystery Book Club will be watching the recent film based on of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express. Participants will watch the film, eat lunch and discuss the film and the book.

April 11, 6 p.m.: “Neva Romero: Jamas Olvidados” film screening and discussion.

April 13, 4 p.m.: Virtual Legal Clinic. Colorado Legal Services offers a free clinic on the second Friday of each month. The clinic covers general information about Colorado family law including: divorce and custody, property law, probate law, collections, landlord-tenant law, etc. You’ll learn what papers you need to start the action, general procedures, issues to look out for, resources and other information. Instructors do not provide legal advice on individual cases. Sign-up is required, space is limited. Call the library to sign up.

April 16, 4 p.m.: Anime Club. Join us for an anime showing and a cultural activity. Because of the content of the shows, all participants must be in middle school or older.

April 19, 5:30 p.m.: Family Literacy Night: Families who have children in preschool and early elementary school are invited to join ICL for an early literacy evening. Build your child’s skills with fun literacy activities, crafts and a free book. Dinner will be served. The featured book is Groovy Joe: Dance Party Countdown by Eric Litwin.

April 26, 5:30 p.m.: Pushing the Limits is a reading, viewing and discussion program for adults. In this installation, we explore the things we leave for future generations, from landscapes to heirlooms, through the book Lab Girl. It will feature a discussion, tea, coffee and food with Fort Lewis College associate professor of biology Heidi Steltzer. Visit the library to pick up a free copy of Lab Girl and sign up.
