The San Juan Basin Archaeological Society invites the public to a presentation at 7 p.m. March 8 in the Lyceum at the Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive, and on Zoom.
There will be a social time at 6:30 p.m., then after a brief business meeting, Kelsey E. Hanson will discuss, “Creating Color in the Chaco World: Spatial Histories of Paint Production at Pueblo Bonito.”
Hanson is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Anthropology, University of Arizona, and the 2022-23 Lister Fellow at the Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, where she specializes in the archaeology of the Southwest.
