Teachers should be able to be armed and trained to protect and defend their students instead of the hiding under the desk like we are taught today. Like the Aurora shooting where everyone went to the ground, making it easier to take everyone out. Like the Columbine shooting, everyone got under the desks and on their knees. No one person tried to throw anything or stop the shooter.
