Art with a purpose

Thien Tai, a volunteer with the Colorado Meth Project, paints a mural on the side of the Boys & Girls Club of La Plata County building late Wednesday afternoon on Main Avenue. The spray-painted mural depicts youths’ interests. It is part of an effort by the nonprofit Colorado Meth Project to educate teenagers on the risks of drug abuse.
