Durango Choral Society Artistic Director Linda Mack Berven will give a presentation to Rotary Club of Durango, “Biggies of the Baroque: Bach, Handel and Vivaldi,” at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave.
Berven will discuss the lives, adventures and musical output of three composers who changed the course of music history.
Berven earned her doctoral degree from the University of Illinois and was a professor of music at Fort Lewis College. She has conducted DCS for the past 20 years and also conducts the Durango Women's Choir.
